Women’s Health in the North and Women’s Health Victoria are proud to present a 2-part webinar series focused on addressing reproductive coercion.

This session will focus on an introduction to reproductive coercion as a concept, including exploration of its various forms and an overview of the research literature. It will explore the intersections between sexual and reproductive health and violence against women and consider both response and primary prevention in relation to reproductive coercion. Presenters include:

  • Dr Laura Tarzia, University of Melbourne and deputy lead of the Sexual Abuse and Family Violence (SAFE) program
  • Steph Chen, Education and Training Project Officer/Counsellor, and Dr Bec Jenkinson, Education and Community Engagement Coordinator, Children by Choice

Presentations will be followed by a Q&A facilitated by Bonney Corbin, Senior Policy Officer from Marie Stopes Australia.

These forums are aimed at both prevention and response service professionals working in the violence against women and sexual and reproductive health sectors in Victoria.

The forums are part of the Women’s Health Victoria’s Access and Equity series which have examined key sexual and reproductive health issues and part of Women's Health in the North's ongoing commitment to sexual and reproductive health, prevention of violence against and gender equity. These forums were made possible by the Victorian Department of Justice and Community Safety.
